After a 4-1 start against one of the hardest schedules in Division III football, Wesley gets to enjoy homecoming weekend as they face the Virginia University of Lynchburg.

The Dragons find themselves at 1-4 after a 20-7 loss to Concordia-Selma this past weekend. Wesley will not be their first nationally ranked opponent, as they lost 30-7 to Division II No. 24 UNC-Pembroke two weeks ago.

The USCAA division team has had trouble on offense, with quarterback Tyler Harris throwing 5 interceptions against just one touchdown this season. When they haven't had to throw to catch up, Mach Shinhoster has been an effective runner however, averaging 4.5 yards a touch.

Last year Wesley rolled to a 46-0 victory in the first ever meeting between the squads, although it was only 3-0 after the opening quarter. Wesley ran for 221 yards, including 112 on just 8 carries by Askia Jahad, who had a 100 yard day last week against Birmingham-Southern.

You can hear Wesley and Virginia University of Lynchburg Saturday beginning at noon on 1150AM WDEL.
