Mail carrier dies after dog attack

State Police confirm that a postal worker attacked by a dog last week in Stanton has died.

They say 55-year-old Robert Rochester of New Castle died Wednesday night.

He was bitten multiple times by a German Shepherd on Friday afternoon.

The dog was shot by responding police officers.

The owner of the German Shepherd and another dog on the scene was charged with having a vicious, unrestrained dog.
