DE gets federal funds to help disadvantaged

Congressman Mike Castle announces DE will get $5.2 million in federal dollars to help those in need.
Four million dollars from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development will
go to over a dozen existing homeless assistance programs in New Castle and Wilmington.
Nearly a half-million dollars from FEMA will go to the state's Emergency Food and
Shelter program.
Congressman Castle says it's imperative to fund services for the state's disadvanged
during the coldest season of the year.
The federal grant money will also be spent on job training, health care, mental
health counseling, and substance abuse.
