DELDOT calls "Litter-Free DE" day a success
DELDOT says its 8th annual "Imagine a Litter-Free Delaware" event, held last Saturday, was a success.
The agency Wednesday released figures showing 621 participants collected nearly 11 hundred bags of trash.
In fact, there was about 5 thousand cubic feet of the stuff--enough to fill 5 school buses.
DELDOT also wants to encourage state residents to sign up for its "Adopt A Highway" program, in which individuals and groups clean their adopted roads at least 3 times a year.
You can sign up for "Adopt A Highway" at deldot.gov.
