AccuWeather: Sandy will be sticking around awhile
Updated Tuesday, October 30, 2012 - 12:11am
AccuWeather meteorologist Bob Smirbeck says Sandy will continue to batter us with winds for another day or so.
Smerbeck tells WDEL News the winds will stay intense, but they'll change direction after the eye of the storm passes over Dover Monday night.
"Our winds'll shift from north to south, so anything that was being pushed from north to south in the wind this afternoon into this evening will shift, and be blown from south to north again on the back side of Sandy."

Smerbeck says Sandy, which is now a tropical "super storm", is elongating as it passes over the area, which means its wind and rain fields are spreading out.
