Extended Sandy Conditions
By Gianna Banner

"Superstorm" Sandy will still affect local area conditions until Tuesday morning.

Flood warnings continue for Delaware waterways including White Clay Creek near Newark and Christina River at Coochs Bridge.

Late Monday night, the flood stage was recorded at 15.1 feet for White Clay Creek. Christina River was marked at 12.2 feet. Both rivers were about two feet past the typical flood stage.

Strong wind gusts will be present early Tuesday. AccuWeather suggests to continue taking precautions because wind traveling at up to 60 mph can cause further damages.
