Delle Donne reportedly has Lyme symptoms again
By Don Voltz

Elena Delle Donne won't be at 100% when the Delaware women's basketball season starts at home next Friday night. A report on ESPN.com says Delle Donne is suffering from a recurrence of Lyme disease.

Delle Donne initially contracted the disease in 2008 and was affected by it in the 2010-2011 season when she missed 12 games that season.

Delle Donne told the website she started feeling the symptoms again when the team began full preseason practices in October.

The report says she is still practicing with the team and is taking some new antibiotics to fight her symptoms.

Delle Donne says she won't be 100% but plans to play in the season opener, November 9, when Delaware hosts Sam Houston State in the Pre-Season Women's NIT.
