Just one day after being officially elected, incoming Mayor Williams is appointing members to his cabinet.

John Matlusky will be Williams' chief of staff. He served as the Chief of Staff for the state House of Representatives under former House Speaker Terry Spence.

Battalion Chief Anthony Goode will be promoted to chief of the Wilmington Fire Department, replacing Chief Willie Patrick.

Harold Gray will serve as Williams' director of economic development. He once served as vice president of United Way.

Williams' communications and media relations director will be Alexandra Coppadge, who worked in Governor Markell's constituent relations office and is the daughter of a Family Court judge.

Former state treasurer Velda Jones-Potter will serve on the mayor's transition team, but won't have a cabinet position.

Williams hasn't handpicked a police chief yet. Look for that announcement sometime next month.
