Trucker hit by car killed in Newport

An Ohio man is dead after a freak vehicle accident in Newport Thursday.
Police say 64 year old Stephen Webb died when he was hit by a car after getting out of his tractor trailer just before noon on 141 Southbound near 95.
A 1997 Buick Lesabre driven by 24 year old Francis Witz Jr. of Wilmington, was traveling south on 141, and his car hit the driver's side rear of the trailer. Witz' car then continued forward and struck Webb.
Webb was pronounced dead at the scene. Witz wasn't hurt.
No charges have been filed.
