A fiery crash in New Castle Thursday afternoon cost two people their lives.

An S-U-V ran into the rear of a car making a left-hand turn from Christiana Road onto Appleby.

The car burst into flames and two people inside were trapped and pronounced dead at the scene.

Three people inside a pick up truck also hit weren't hurt. The 67 year old driver of the S-U-V, John Quigley of Newark, is in Christiana Hospital in serious condition.
