Sanford's Thompson commits to Northwestern State

Sanford senior basketball star Sabri Thompson signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Northwestern State of Louisiana next season.
Thompson lead the Warriors to a 23-1 record last year, including back-to-back state championships against Newark and Red Lion. He had 8 points against Newark in their eight point win. He has been named 1st team All-Independant Conference and was Honorable Mention All-State a year ago.
Off the court Thompson is an Honor Roll Student while also being a member of the school's Spanish National Honor Socierty.
Northwestern State went 16-16 last season, including an 8-8 mark in Southland conference play before losing to Lamar in the opening round of the conference tournament.
Sanford begins their season December 4th when they take on Westtown at 5:15 p.m.
