OHS announces Thanksgiving weekend checkpoints
By Frank Gerace

The state Office of Highway Safety says Thanksgiving weekend sobriety checkpoints will be in effect starting Wednesday.

OHS announced Tuesday the annual Safe Family Holiday campaign runs through the next six weeks, and includes anti-aggressive driving enforcement and seat belt enforcement along with DUI patrols.

Checkpoints will be set up in Wilmington Wednesday, Rehoboth Beach Friday and Newark Saturday.

OHS says 100 people have died in traffic crashes on Delaware's roads since January first.
