Delaware's Saddler named CAA Player of the Week
By Sean Greene

Delaware guard Devon Saddler's outstanding performances in three of Delaware men's basketball games in the past decade have earned him the honor of the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week.

The junior guard scored a career-high 32 points in the Blue Hens' three-point loss to Kansas State in the Pre-Season NIT semifinal Wednesday night. He followed that up with 28 points in a blowout 3rd-place game defeat to Pitt, and then 25 points at Temple on Sunday.

Saddler is tops in the CAA, and 13th nationally, with a 22.2 points per game average. He has also moved into 22nd place on the all-time Delaware scoring list with 1,147 points.

Delaware returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to face Lafayette.
