Smyrna man busted with homemade bomb
A Smyrna man, already on probation, is busted with what police say was a pipe bomb.
Probation and Parole officers went to 19 year old Robert Cadmus' Smyrna home for a routine check Wednesday night. They found prescription drugs, paraphernalia and a 12 gauge shotgun in his bedroom.
They also spotted the explosive on a shelf and called in the state Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit. The device was removed safely form the residence on the one thousand block of Hurd Road.
Cadmus faces a slew of charges including drug and firearms possession and possession of fireworks. He was taken into custody on 12 thousand dollars bail.
