Dover City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing tonight on its latest plan to honor Martin Luther King, Junior.

Court Street, Duke of York Street and William Penn Street would be renamed after the civil rights Icon, while Capital Drive would be renamed as Court Street.

Plaques would also be placed in memory of William Penn and the Duke of York.

Also, the recently-opened Dover Public Library would be renamed in honor of Martin Luther King Junior.

A previous proposal to rename parts of Division Street after Dr. King was rejected because too many addresses would have to be changed.

Dover City Council meets tonight at 7:15 p.m.
