| VIDEO: Highlights of A.I. victory | Braxton Watson's game-winning jump shot with 1.2 seconds remaining pushed A.I. DuPont to a 79-77 victory over visiting Delcastle.
A.I.'s 4th win of the season did not come easy. After giving up the lead on the previous possession, Watson took a 20 foot step back jumper after an effective crossover that rattled around before finally falling.
Delcastle was lead by junior Karaan Newsome who had 5 steals and 20 points in the loss. After helping the Cougars get off to an 11-3 lead to start the game, they let the lead slip after 3 pointers from Jeff Bradford and Raekwon Wilson.
A.I. caught up in the second quarter, going on a 10-2 run starting at the 7 minute mark. With a 46-42 halftime lead, another Bradford 3 pointer in the 3rd brought it up to 10 with three minutes remaining in the quarter.
A Delcastle comeback was halted following multiple turnovers, and Watson's eventual game winner. He ended the game with 20 points, going 4 of 5 from the line.
A.I. moves to 4-0 and will play Newark Friday at 5:30. Delcastle drops to 1-2 and will go on the road to face Appoquinimink Wednesday at 5:45.
