| VIDEO: Highlights of GBC vs. Wilmington plus Richardson's thoughts | CACC Player of the Week Devonne Richardson scored a game-high 22 points as Goldey-Beacom won their 4th straight game with an easy 84-53 win over in-state rival Wilmington University Monday night.
Richardson's three-pointer erased an early deficit to put the Lightning up 15-13, and they would never trail again in earning their 7th straight victory in the rivalry between Delaware's only Division II programs.
Goldey-Beacom shot 45 percent from the field, including 53 percent in the second half, while holding Wilmington to just below 30 percent.
Richardson added 13 rebounds to her 22-point night, while Irene Hudson scored 14 points and Akilah Sewell scored 13 points off the bench.
Despite committing just five turnovers, Wilmington's offense struggled to find rhythm, going just 3-of-21 from behind the arc and 12-of-21 from the free throw line. Danielle Thomas led the Wildcats with 14 points, but that was not enough to prevent their second straight loss.
