VIDEO: Highlights of Caravel and Sacred Heart

Caravel's Jessica Reynolds took advantage of a second chance, hitting the eventual go-ahead basket off an offensive rebound, boosting the Bucs to a 47-43 victory over Sacred Heart (N.J.) in the Diamond State Classic Friday.

Caravel let most of the way, but found themselves knotted in a 43-43 tie with 3:10 remaining after a 16-foot jumper by the Lady Lions' freshman forward Khalia Smith.

Running in transition, the Bucs found Reynolds open on the right baseline, but her 14-foot shot came up short. Sacred Heart failed to box out the junior however, and she wisely followed up the miss, and put up another baseline shot, this one from 10-feet, that hit nothing but nylon for the final field goal of the game.

After Sacred Heart turned the ball over on a steal by Ky'Asia Stanford, teammate Yasmin Walker hit a pair of free throws to create the final margin in the B+ Foundation bracket contest.

All five starters had at least six points for Caravel, led by Stanford's 12 points and Walker's 10. Sacred Heart's 6-foot-2 junior Kennedy Johnson took advantage of a height mismatch to score 18 points, but it wasn't enough.

Caravel will face Wilson (Pa.) for the bracket championship Sunday night, while Sacred Heart will face Sanford in a consolation matchup.
