VIDEO: Highlights of Wilson vs Sanford

Defending Bucks County (Pa.) champion Wilson High School jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, defeating Sanford 47-32 in a B+ Foundation bracket matchup at the Diamond State Classic Friday.

Junior Jessie Wallace hit a shot just before the opening quarter buzzer, giving the Bulldogs a 15-5 lead after the opening quarter.

Taking advantage of a height mismatch inside, Wallace (10 points) and Carley Brew (7) were able to have their way inside despite Sanford's best efforts to deny entry passes into the post.

When that wasn't working for Wilson, junior guard Ivory Bailey was hitting shots, including an important stretch of a three pointer and then driving layup on consecutive possessions to turn a 6 point game into 11 midway through the second quarter.

Sanford was able to cut the deficit to eight just before halftime on a bank-shot three-pointer by Ayanna Thompson, but they could get no closer.

Wilson will face Caravel for the bracket championship Sunday night, while Sanford will battle Sacred Heart (N.J.) on a consolation game earlier in the afternoon.
