Pedestrian cited for drunkenness struck by car
A New Castle man is seriously hurt after being struck by a car in Smyrna.
Police say the driver was heading west on Woodland Beach Road near Delaware Avenue when she struck pedestrian George Prentice Sunday night.
Prentice was taken to Kent General and cited for being drunk on the highway.
So far, the driver hasn't been charged.
