Governor Markell's Week of Service has begun with a variety of projects you can choose from.

One of the easiest ways to participate is to be a blood donor. Christine Serio of the Bloodbank of Delmarva says donating is a way to serve others in need.

"Folks can come out to any of our centers, any of our mobile locations, and donate blood, and they will fill out a hero card when they come in, and then they will receive a special t-shirt and just be counted as part of the week of service," she said.
