A dangerous mix-up causes a car to go through the window of an apartment in Newark Saturday morning.

One resident of the Allandale Apartment complex was attempting to pull her 2010 Honda Civic out of a parking spot when she accidentally put the car in 'drive' instead of 'reverse.'

At the same time she mistakenly pressed on the gas instead of the brakes.

The 28-year-old woman's car went into a first floor apartment window.

No one was injured.

A New Castle County building inspector arrived on scene and determined the building was not structurally damaged, only the window will need to be replaced.

The driver was cited for careless driving.
