| VIDEO: Mellany Armstrong visits with the Nescis at tryouts | Wilmington natives Kelly and Kory Nesci are two of nine new members of the Phillies Ballgirls team for 2013, the club announced Tuesday.
The Nescis will be the first set of twins to make the roster, after surviving a tryout process which focused on both on-and-off the field activities.
Kelly told WDEL in December that they put a lot of hard work into the tryouts which tested softball and interpersonal skills, along with their baseball knowledge.
"We hit ground balls to each other, we were fielding back and forth, throwing, catching fly balls, studying with our dad for the history test," she said.

Along with retrieving foul balls at games, the Phillies Ballgirls make over 150 off-field appearances and play a minimum of 10 softball games for charities.
Their first responsibility with the team will be a photo shoot at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday.
