Robbers, masked and armed, target burger joint
By Peter MacArthur

State Police say their suspects aren't hamburglars but did hold up a hamburger restaurant in Elsmere.

Two men walked into Jake's Hamburgers on Kirkwood Highway at about 9 Wednesday night, one through the back door, one through the front.

Each had a handgun and was wearing a mask. They ordered two employees and two customers to the floor, and told a third worker to empty the cash registers.

The robbers zip tied the victims hands behind their backs and took off out the back door.

No injuries. Police are working off limited suspect information since they were wearing masks and there was no video surveillance.
