Traffic stop yields large heroin stash

A Rehoboth Beach man, stopped for speeding on route 1 near the Biddles Toll Plaza, was arrested for having a large quantity of heroin in his vehicle.

Delaware State Police found a black plastic bag in the trunk of Michael Denney's car.

Inside the bag was 31 grams of heroin stored in nearly 1,250 wax envelopes.

Denney was stopped on January 11th...the investigation resulted in Denney being charged on Wednesday with several drug charges, including possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver.

He's being held on $18,550 cash bail.
