Afternoon shooting in Wilm., man taken to hospital

Wilmington detectives investigating an afternoon shooting found the victim lying in the street after taking a bullet to the buttocks.

The Wilmington man was standing outside on the 400 block of West 30th Street around 4:45pm Tuesday when the suspect walked up to him and opened fire.

The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital, where he's in serious, but stable condition.
