Wilm. likely to activate Code Purple
Updated Thursday, January 24, 2013 - 12:03am
The freezing cold temperatures will likely lead to a Code Purple in Wilmington.
That means individuals can seek shelter at the Salvation Army Building, located at 400 North Orange Street, between the hours of 9pm and 6am.
"The fire department, EMS will be going out and bringing people to the Salvation Army so they can stay there between those hours," says Alexandra Coppadge, Mayor Williams' communications director.
