Traffic stop leads to seizure of drugs, alleged drug money
By Tom Lehman

A Dover man faces drug possession charges after a traffic stop in Bear.

Police say Kiree Wise of Dover was behaving suspiciously and moving around in the rear passenger seat of a car that had been pulled over for an equipment violation at the intersection of Flamingo Drive and Teal Circle around 8:00 p.m. Saturday night.

Police say an officer had the driver lower the rear passenger window, revealing an odor of marijuana coming from the car.

Police say Wise was removed from the vehicle and it was discovered he was carrying 12 bundles of heroin, a baggie of marijuana and more than $500 in suspected drug money.

Police say A K9 unit performing a "money sniff" on the suspected drug money yielded a positive indication for the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, causing officers to seize $540 of alleged drug money.

He's been committed to the Howard Young Correctional Facility after failing to post $40,100 secured bond.
