Photo Courtesy of State PoliceState Police have arrested a man after more than 1,200 bags of heroin were found after a traffic stop in Millsboro.
It happened about 2:30 p.m. Sunday on School Lane. Police say a trooper say a driver commit a traffic violation and pulled the driver over.
Troopers say the driver got out of the vehicle and ran toward a field, carrying a plastic bag. Police say the man discarded the bag. He was apprehended, and the bag was recovered.
Authorities say the bag contained about 31 grams of heroin in smaller containers.
Derrell Gibbs of Dagsboro has been charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin and other offenses. He is being held on more than $80,000 bail.
