An early morning crash damages a business in Hockessin.

State police say at 2:25 Saturday morning, 28-year-old Jose Garcia of Wilmington was trying to back his Dodge Caravan out of a parking space at the Hockessin Cleaners in the 73-hundred block of Lancaster Pike.

Police say his foot slipped off the brake and the vehicle lurched forward into the side of the building, causing structural damage.

Garcia, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was not hurt. He was taken to Troop 2 where he was cited for driving under the influence. Code enforcement officials have deemed the building unsafe.
