Delle Donne earns national, conference weekly honors
By Sean Greene

Three big conference victories, including 35 points against Hofstra on Sunday, propelled Elena Delle Donne to her fourth straight CAA Player of the Week honor.

In addition, Delle Donne was selected by espnW as their National Player of the Week for the first time this season after averaging 28.7 points in just 29 minutes in victories over Northeastern, Georgia State, and the Pride.

Delle Donne's 35 points were her second-highest total of the season, and came on a 10-for-20 shooting performance from the floor.

The victories improved Delaware to 18-3 overall, and 9-0 in Colonial Athletic Association play. The Blue Hens also vaulted up five spots to number 20 in this week's Associated Press Top 25 released Monday.

Delaware plays its next two games away from Newark, traveling to Baltimore to battle Towson Thursday before a showdown with 2012 WNIT Finalist James Madison in Harrisonburg Sunday.
