Del. panel looks to aid small business
Workers compensation insurance and health care reform are among the issues being looked at by a panel aimed at helping small businesses in Delaware.
The state small business advisory committee was scheduled to meet today, with a review of a new workers compensation task force topping the agenda.
Governor Jack Markell announced last week that Lt. Gov. Matt Denn, who heads the small business advisory panel, also would head a task force formed to address the 26% increase in average workers compensation rates over the past two years.
The small business panel also planned to discuss outreach efforts to the small business community about Delaware's implementation of health insurance reforms under the Affordable Care Act, ,and business loan programs offered by the state economic development office.
