Blankets for Delaware's homeless

Delaware's homeless will be getting the gift of a little warmth.

On Friday, 9 non-profits serving that state's homeless population will receive blankets for distribution.

Delaware's Division of State Service Centers is providing 550 blankets with the help of funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

The groups will pick up the blankets between 1 and 3 Friday afternoon.

Here's a list of organizations getting the blankets.

Rick VanStory Resource Center (RVRC), 801 West St., Wilmington;
St. Patrick's Center, 107 E. 14th St, Wilmington;
Connection Community Support Program, Statewide;
People's Place 2, Smyrna and Dover;
First State Community Action, Dover Corporate Center 655 S. Old Bay Road, Suite 4J Dover, DE;
Sheppard's Place, 1362 S. Governors Ave., Dover
Salvation Army, Statewide;
Newport Churches Community Action Program
Neighborhood House, Wilmington and Middletown;
