BSD mum on school security workshop
Updated Monday, February 11, 2013 - 11:04pm
Brandywine School District officials met in a closed-doors executive session workshop Monday night to discuss school safety.
The school board's president, Olivia Johnson-Harris confirmed that the scheduled topics of the workshop-- crisis plans, security systems and security personnel-- were discussed but wouldn't disclose any details to WDEL.
She said that the nature of the discussion required the session to be closed to the public.
The issue of school safety has drawn scrutiny from many, including state officials, after the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. last December.
