By Associated Press

Authorities are charging two people with stealing copper from an irrigation system in Georgetown.

State Police responded to a report of chainsaw noises in a farm field in the early morning of Jan. 24.

Troopers believe Minos Wilson of Georgetown and his nephew Chad Wilson were cutting pieces of copper wire from an irrigation system before fleeing.

Both men turned themselves in Tuesday and were charged with theft and other crimes.
