Three-pointers lift Sanford over Hodgson

Sabri Thompson scored 17 points and five three-pointers to help push Sanford past Hodgson in a 61-50 win Thursday night.
The Warriors held an 18-8 lead after one quarter, which was capped by the second of Thompson's field goals.
Hodgson charged back into the game during the 2nd Quarter, and the Silver Eagles took a brief one-point lead.
However, the Warriors were able to take back the lead hold onto a two-point advantage at halftime when they led 27-25.
Sanford began to break away from the Silver Eagles during the 3rd Quarter, leading by 13 points as they entered the final period ahead 48-35.
Hodgson would try to get closer in the 4th Quarter with the help of Nick Richards, who scored eight points in the final period and 12 points overall.
Thompson helped keep the Warriors in control though, hitting two 4th Quarter three-pointers to help finish off the 61-50 win.
Sanford improves to 15-3 and looks to build on their five-game winning streak Saturday afternoon against St. Andrews.
Hodgson falls to 16-3 and looks to rebound against William Penn next week.
