Video: Highlights from UDMBB vs. Drexel

One second remained on the clock in double-overtime when Drexel's Frantz Massenat missed a jumper. Coach Bruiser Flint jumped up and down because he believed there was a goaltending call. No reaction from the referees, and University of Delaware wins a thrilling 73-71 CAA conference game at home Thursday night.

The Blue Hens swept the series from Drexel (11-16, 7-8 CAA) for the first time since the 1999-2000 season.

Delaware (15-13, 10-5 CAA) gave up a heartbreaker to James Madison Sunday and hoped to bounce back early.

Jarvis Threatt opened up scoring with a 3-pointer to give the Blue Hens the early lead. They would lead by as many as ten in the first half.

UD's Jamelle Hagins, who pulled down his 1,000th career rebound Thursday, went up for a lay-up to give the Blue Hens a 31-24 edge at halftime.

The Dragons knocked on UD's door throughout the second half, and finally jumped ahead with a downtown shot from Damion Lee, who finished with 25 points. Drexel was up 49-48 with 3:41 remaining in regulation.

With the game knotted at 52, Massenat missed a jumper to send the game to overtime.

Drexel's Tavon Allen drained a 3-pointer to give the Dragons a 58-57 lead with 2:19 remaining. With 39 seconds left, Blue Hens' Devon Saddler knotted the game at 60 with a free throw. He missed the second, and the game goes into double overtime.

The lead changed seven times in the final minutes. Saddler, who led all scorers with 31 points, pushed the Blue Hens ahead with less than two minutes remaining 69-67.

Drexel's Derrick Thomas, who finished with 19, put the back Dragons in front 71-70 when he drove to the basket and sunk a fade away jumper.

UD's Terrell Rogers made three key free throws to seal their fifteenth victory.
