Philadelphia man shot in Wilmington

Wilmington police say a Philadelphia man is in critical condition after being shot in the face Sunday afternoon.
It happened around 3:15 p.m. in the area of E. 24th and N. Pine Streets, where police say the victim was driving in his car when another man approached the vehicle and began shooting at him.
Police say the victim was transported via private vehicle to St. Francis Hospital several minutes later, but he was later transferred to Christiana Hospital where he's listed in critical condition.
Police say the suspect is approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches in height.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Wilmington police or CrimeStoppers.
