Traffic violations and a car chase with police, lead to a heroin arrest for a Dover man.

State Police officials say it was around 11:15 Saturday morning when a trooper noticed the driver of a car committing several traffic violations along Route 1 and East Lebanon Road.

After checking the driver's information in his patrol car, the trooper began walking back to talk to the other driver, who then took off.

After a short chase, the driver of the car, 29 year old Terrance Oliver, got out of his car and tried to run, but the trooper used his Taser to take Oliver into custody.

A search turned up almost five grams of heroin and more than $450.

Oliver remains behind bars on more than $35,000 bond.
