VIDEO: Highlights of Hodgson and A.I. duPont

No. 3 Hodgson's Nicholas Richards scored 16 points as the Silver Eagles beat No. 6 A.I. duPont 56-44 in a DIAA Boys' Basketball Quarterfinal Tuesday night.

The Silver Eagles took control in the second quarter, outscoring the Tigers 16-8 punctuated by Nicholas Richards' slam dunk to lead 27-20 at the break.

After an even third quarter put their advantage at eight, Hodgson punched their ticket to "The Bob" with a balanced 17-point offensive attack.

The Silver Eagles fly high with great performances by Matthew Peel (12) and Shayquan Cannon (9).

Jeffery Bradford would score A.I. duPont's first points as he would hit a long 3 pointer to start the game. The Tigers led 12-11 after the opening quarter, but after giving up the first basket of the second, they never led again.

Hodgson (19-3) advances to face conference rival No. 2 Howard (20-1) Thursday at the Bob Carpenter Center.
