Ursuline withstands challenge from Appo

No. 4 Ursuline's Adrianna Hahn scored 21 points as the Raiders beat No. 5 Appoquinimink 47-39 in the DIAA Girls' Basketball Quarterfinals Thursday night.

The Raiders (16-5) would attack early with 13 points in the 1st quarter. The Jaguars wouldn't back down however, as they would score 11 points in the 1st quarter with a helping hand by their leading scorer Amber Cale (24).

The Raiders would take control in the third quarter, outscoring the Jaguars 18-8 with help by Adrianna Hahn who would score back to back points for Ursuline to quiet Appo's early 2nd half success.

Ursuline advances to take on No. 1 St. Elizabeth Saturday in the second game of a doubleheader at the Bob Carpenter Center which begins at 6:00.
