PA man nearly strikes Newark cop, hits cruiser and flees

Police say a Pennsylvania man high on heroin could've killed people after he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel and nearly struck a cop.

Sean Jeavons now faces a host of drug and reckless driving charges.

Police say they received calls of a drunk driver weaving down New London Road. Police caught up with him parked in a fast-food restaurant's parking lot, where the officer claims he saw needles and heroin packages.

That's when Jeavons reversed and nearly struck the officer with his van, before slamming into the police cruiser and speeding off.

He turned himself in two hours later.
