Man charged with raping girl over 4 years
State police say a Lincoln man has turned himself in to face charges that he raped a now-16-year-old girl over a 4-year period.
Wayne Thompson faces 48 counts of second-degree rape and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child. He turned himself in Friday and is being held on $98,000 bond.
Police say the girl informed detectives on Thursday that she had been raped by Thompson starting in January 2009.
