County Police bust a suspected meth lab in North Wilmington.

Police and DNREC officials were called to a home at the intersection of Beakman Road and Vandyck Drive in Edgemoor Terrace Tuesday morning.

Forrest Berger lives in the neighborhood and says it's usually quiet.

"I've lived here 50 years, and I've never seen this much activity in 50 years," says Berger.

DNREC scientist Jamie Bethard says they gathered suspected meth-making materials.

"We didn't detect anything with our meters as far as that would be harmful to law enforcement, but we're continuing to ventilate the building and allow them to collect any additional evidence that may be present in the home," says Bethard.

A 50-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man were arrested. County Police say the investigation began in January.
