By Amy Cherry

An elderly woman is lucky to be alive after she spent two days stuffed in the trunk of her car, and police say five teens are to blame.

Police say 89-year-old Margaret Smith offered two give two girls a ride, when they stole her keys and her money and stuffed her in the trunk of her own car and left her there for days, before dropping her off at a Seaford area cemetery.

Police say Smith was the subject of a Gold Alert until they found her wandering around the cemetery.

The teens from Bridgeville and Milford range in age from 14 to 17. They've been committed to Stevenson Detention Center on some very serious charges of kidnapping and robbery.
