An unlicensed daycare provider from Ogletown faces child endangerment charges after county police say she locked two toddlers in a closet while she picked up their older siblings.

Since the middle of February, police say Veronica Miller had been locking the three-year-old twins in the closet of her home at the Prides Court Apartment complex while she collected their siblings from a bus stop in New Castle.

Police say officers discovered the children inside of the closet with pillows and blankets with the lights off during a welfare check at the home. Officers allegedly saw a chair wedged in a hallway between the closet and bathroom doors.

Miller was arrested when she returned to the home and has been released on $1,200 unsecured bail.

The toddlers are in good health and have been turned over to their mother.
