9 cars torched in connected arsons in Southbridge
By Amy Cherry

Several vehicles at different locations are found torched in Southbridge, and the state Fire Marshal's office says arson is the cause.

Investigators say the fires were intentionally set at a body shop on the 900 block of South Heald Street and at a nearby recycling yard on the 1,000 block of New Castle Avenue.

A total of nine cars sustained damage of $150,000.

Investigators say the fires are connected.
