88 degree temps break the record in NCCo

Wednesday's high temperature of 88 degrees is one for the record books.

The National Weather Service confirmed the record of 84 degrees set in 1922 was broken at New Castle Airport Wednesday.

Temperatures climbed to 89 degrees at Sussex County Airport, where the previous record was 82 degrees, set in 1991.
