An arrest has been made in a year old hit and run incident that left a woman dead in Newark.

Ryan Wroten of Newark is charged with leaving the scene of a collision causing death.

Police say on April 30th last year, he struck 76 year old Helen Yang with his vehicle near the Newark Free Library on Library Avenue and then took off.

Yang was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators collected car parts from the scene and in early July, received information that Wroten may have been involved.

Police seized Wroten's vehicle from his home and it was analyzed by the FBI for evidence.

Wroten was arrested Wednesday and is currently free on bail.
