New walking and biking trails coming to Dover
By Carl Kanefsky

The Department of Natural Resources broke ground Friday on a project that will link Dover's pathways and trails system, creating four and a half miles of safe opportunities for walking, jogging, and biking.

The Capital City Trail is part of a statewide initiative to create enhanced and safe ways for residents and visitors to move around the state, and will connect people to parks, historic attractions, schools, and businesses in Dover.

Officials say the plan can enhance the economy by benefiting local businesses, promote the state's recreation and tourism industries, and improve air quality by reducing auto emissions.
